I'm about to purchase this...

But i don't have the bose head unit, i have the stock one. What exactly will i need to change on this set up to make it work with my car?

i have an 08 350z

You actually don't need the Bose adapter, but you do need an non-Bose adapter to connect the pioneer's wiring to the harness in your dash. This will provide power, illumination, and speaker connections. You can buy one from crutchfield.com, best buy, etc. but it sounds like the guy selling the Pioneer has the Bose adapter soldered to the pioneer's harness. You'll have to cut all those connectors, toss the Bose adapter, and solder or crimp connect the new non-Bose adapter to the Pioneer's harness. Probably 12 or so connections to make.

Order a non bose adapter from Crutchfield or pick one up from your audio shop.

Cut off the PAC adapters and then match the wires and crimp them.


This is actually a much easier set up than going with a BOSE. Luckily, the guy did the work. I would much rather have a non BOSE set up since its easier to install.
