Hey guys

So I was set to get db6501 components for front doors but then crutchfield guy told me that they wont fit into front doors even with an adapter. I dont completely believe him on that, as I seen some threads where people installed mmc6500 and they are similar speakers with mmc having even larger depth than db6501. Could someone that has db6501 installed in front chime in? Or maybe there is another component speaker suggestion with price of under 200

The DB6501 have a top depth mount of 1 15/16". Now I have the Infinity Reference 6030CS which a top depth mount of 2-1/16". In theory you'll have 1/8" MORE room then I have... and mine fit fine with these adapters. Crutchfield offers a 60 day money back guarantee so order what you want and if they don't fit send them back. If they do fit (which they will) send Crutchfield a note that their service adviser is incorrect. I normally trust Crutchfield but maybe the adapter they sell isn't think enough?
