I'm trying to install a new audio device. I'm having trouble taking out the dash piece under the sterring wheel. Can someone please tell me how o ake of that piece so i can find the audio adapter. thanks.

 

The audio adapter is in the center and not under the dash.

To remove the lower dash, you have to make sure you unscrew the one under the hood release and there is one under the door trim. You have to pull the strip that runs from the lower part of the dash, along the bottom to the back. After that strip is out you can see the screw holding the lower dash. You just have to pull the lower dash out, it's held in by clips only.

No, don't see how. What do you mean audio adapter? the connection to the head unit? Thats in the center dash. theres a thread on center dash removal, so do a search for that.
