Default Speedo/Outside temp gauge

Whenever its icy, the gauge switches to outside temperature automatically. How do I stop this? I want it always on the speed setting

You probably can't - it's there to warm you of freezing conditions. Nothing in the manual about how to override it. I suppose if it really bothers you, you might try disconnecting the temp sensor (behind the front bumper) and see what that does.

Bingo. It is a safety feature - and almost every car that has a temp display works this way. In fact some of them blink or actually read ICY. I have seen a few that show a cute little snowflake icon too. However its easy to fix... just move south

Yea my truck has the same things..

A bunch of safety warnings that take over my speedo display. Just part of the safety features on all modern cars.

Just learn to live with it or buy a death trap from the 80's lol

You know, just to the left of that gauge there is a much larger one that always displays your speed.
