Default Looking for Infinity tutorial

Anyone know of a step by step thread w/pix for installing Infinity Kappa componants in the front and 6.5 2 ways in the back? Already saw the great pix of the Basslink! Wonder if someone has posted the same for the mid highs.

Thanks.

I just finished installing a set of Infinity components in my doors and a set of 6.5's in the rear area. Are you planning to change out your HU or leave the Bose one in? I ran all new wiring to the door speakers and the rear speakers. It was a bit of a pain in the butt though. There is a "how to" thread on removing the rear panels to get to the rear speakers and there is also a thread on removing the door panels. As far as mounting the 6.5's in the doors, you will have to mod the factory bose speaker to utilize the spacer that it uses. For this, all you have to do is take and cut out the 6.5 speaker from the factory spacer and take a utility knife or something else to clean up the inside of this spacer. You then screw the Infinity 6.5 to each spacer. You must do this because most aftermarket speakers will hit the window when rolled down. As far as the tweeter is concerned, I just removed the factory tweeter and secured the Infinity tweeter in the same manner as the factory one. I just put a little piece of velcro on the back of the tweet and used the factory bar that held in the bose tweet. The velcro kept the Infinity from moving. Although the Infinity tweet is larger than the grille in the a-pillar, it still sounds outstanding mounted on the inside of the pillar. There is also a more detailed thread on the spacer mod as well as a little more info on the tweeter install. You will just have to search for them. Maybe this will help.

zachcrosen is correct. Here's a pic of kappa 60.5cs installed with the factory speaker as spacer:

I think you can use a referal code to save $20 and master card code to save another $20.
