Is it overkill or even neccesary? I'll be pushing 500x1 RMS at a 2 Ohm load and 150x2 at 4Ohm. I'm not sure and am having to get creative on amp placement so I'm wanting to only do this one time. It cant hurt anything if it's in there right?
TIA

I just talked to a guy at the local stereo shop and I dont know if he's just BS'ing me or not, but he said that I would need a second battery as well. I told him that I didnt have room for that. Oh well. I found one for what seems to be a good price including 1/0 gauge wire so I think I going to do it anyway. I'll let you know how it goes.

I've even heard 1 Farad for 500 watts. Even with that formula, 2.4 farads is way more than needed for an 800 watt load.
