What did they do wrong?
They sure didn't test it after they installed them.

What is the mounting depth of the stock speakers up front? The Diamonds are 2 1/8" deep. Are these speakers not going to work?

They did not correctly space the speakers. Inside the door, there can only be about 1.5" of speaker.

There needs to be about a 1" spacer installed.

 

I have Diamond HEX components, and my windows work just fine. Sounds like you need a biger spacer (or one at all) to move the speaker out away from the glass.
