Default Little help with a V1 please

I was riding down the interstate today when I see a cop sitting on the other side of the divided highway, on the onramp, looking like he was clocking people but my radar didn't go off so I turned around and went down a side road next to the onramp and still didn't get anything. Well on the side road theres another cop I didn't get a very good look at him the first time but my radar didn't go off when I passed him either. Turned around and went by the second cop a second time and it looked like he was either taking pictures of cars or shooting radar but my radar detector didn't go off and neither did it go off when I went up the backroad by the other cop. Could they just be sitting their to make it look like they are so people slow down, I didn't get any beeps at all so I don't think they were using instant on. If anyone could help I would appreciate it. It does seem to work though because when I was passing a cop driving opposite directions it showed him on it.

Thanks

I have noticed the same thing with my Escort Solo 2. I am thinking that the cops are just chillin eating donuts or who knows what.

Almost all Milwaukee County Sheriffs use laser along the interstate. Mine didn't even go off when they got me doin 72 in a 55. Grrrr.... they got me on the first day I put my V1 in too, which also ended up being my first speeding ticket ever.

Keep in mind though, if your detector *does* go off indicating the laser band, the officer is already looking at your speed.

Two negatives about LIDAR:

1. can't be used while the police cruiser is in motion

2. The operator can't shoot through the cruiser's glass.

Typically you'll see the cop sitting in the median at an angle, shooting at cars through an open window. The second cop will sit around the corner and go after the speeder when the first cop radios to him.

It is very rare that you will get an early warning from laser light "scatter", so I wouldn't rely on the V1 or the best detectors out there to protect you from laser...

I got nailed via laser, the cop showed me that he's got basically a crosshair that he puts on the car, squeezes the trigger, and boom, there's the reading. If your detector goes off it's probably over for you if you were speeding.
