Hello Board,

I got the Sony CDX-M800 and it doesn't look as good in the dash as I hoped. In case you haven't noticed, there is an ugly space between the top and the bottom of the unit.


I am wondering if there is a better receiver kit that I could buy (crutchfield maybe?) or if this is as good as it can look...

Yup you got the right kit, but you got the wrong head unit. go alpine looks & sounds better.

 

Hey I just saw your picture. Looks like you mounted it ISO style and used the trim plate that came with the kit. You might want to mount it Din Style and use the trim plate that came with the radio.

 

I had that one ......it is real hard to read the display when open so I returned it for the alpine 9835....much better HU
