Default Subwoofer Sealed Box Volume

The specifications for the 10" subwoofers that I purchased call for a .70 cubic inch box (for a sealed enclosure).

If I plan on constructing a box to hold 2, should I double .70 cubic feet (to 1.4 cubic feet)?

or build a box with 2 chambers?

I plan on using a mono sub amplifier.

Hmm.. I've heard various things about this. I think the safest is to build two seperate chambers; otherwise, things get more complicated. What speakers? have you contacted the maker and asked what they'd recomend?
