Default Bose wiring in enthusiast??

Does anyone know if all the wiring harnesses for 350Z'sare the same?
I have a 2004 enthusiast roadster (poor audio) and may have the opportunity to upgrade to the Bose system designed for the roadster...I'm hoping the wiring harness is already in place to accomodate this. Does anyone know for sure?
Thanks in advance,
John

No, unfortunately there are NOT the same.

In order for you to put a Bose, you'll have to go with aftermarket amps and speakers if you want to us the HU. Otherwise, I've read you'll need to rewire the care in which case it'll be super expensive... but again, I've not done this.

Good luck.

Thanks, adroig43..
Actually I just completed all the work, and it sounds tremendous!
I used the Bose HU ( I really wanted the 6 cd in dash) and I used the bose speakers. I did replace the amps with a Memphis Belle 5 x 100 amp and this system rocks!! The sub might be a little weak for some tastes, but I usually listen to rock or R&B music, so it works just fine. I also had to convert the HU outputs to RCA's, but no big deal...the wiring for the speakers was ok as is.
Thanks, John

did you use a converter or just solder the RCA leads to the HU's output? If you just solder it, you might fry your AMP since the signal is amplified from the HU.

Good to hear you like your sound, integra47.

I did mine last Thursday and the sound is okay, actually. I'm nervious cause even though the sound is good, it's not what I can call 100% "clean". There is something wrong, but I'm not sure. They did NOT use a LOC (Line Output Converter), but somehow they made it work. Did they use a LOC with you? I would honestly say, that even with the new Kenwood speakers and Pioneer amps, the old non-Bose HU sounded cleaner. I'm almost sure it has to to with the LOC.

Please let me know what they did to your car, cause listening to the radio was actually one of my favorite things in the Z, and now I'm not too crazy over my new Bose system, unfortunately.

Hopefully I can fix it with a little help from the people in the forum.

Yes adroig43, I did use LOC's to connect the bose HU. I am very happy with my set-up, but I would also comment that the CD will always sound much better than the radio. If you check the specs, you will see the signal to noise ratio is MUCH BETTER for the CD.... It might just be the comparison of the radio to the cd making the radio sound worse?
Good luck!
