im too lazy to unmount mine, i think it has a problem and being hifibuys isnt honoring their extended warranty with me im thinking of doing trhe buy a new one and switcharoo.......

 

It is usually on the box you bought it in. No serial number is located on the amp itself. Unless a sticker was attached, and I have never seen that yet.

 

I also think, that the ol' switcharoo won't work either. I have a feeling that a certain part number may be associated with each amp that is located on the inside circuitry. You can try, but I wouldn't. What exactly is the problem?

 

Most amps will have the S/N on the bottom plate. Not sure about JL though. Also some have them on the inside on that same plate and on the PCB. You may get it past the Hifi guys, but JL will know what happened. You may be able to find a local shop that repairs amps.
