Help!
workin on first mod to get a new alpine nav unit installed...and everything is going smoothly..up until i realize we have to find a constant (vs. accessory) power source to this thing!
what have some of you done for this...and if you went straight to the battery, how did you get through that ness of a dash. hell i cant get the lower off the front passenger side!

You can always get constant power from the main ignition harness. Drop the knee bolster on the drivers side and look for the thick loom that runs up to the ignition key switch. You will find a constant 12 wire in that loom. (Also, you will find 2 starter wires, and ignition wire, and an accessory wire).
The difference between an ignition wire and an accessory wire is that the ignition wire will stay engergized while cranking the car, the accessory wire sill drop out in the crank position.
