Default Speakers that arent so bright?

Please HELP!

The Kappas have very little mid bass, and alot of highs.
This will not work for me, so they have to go back.

Please help me find a set of components that are well rounded.

Honestly, I liked the sound from my old Polk ex 2-ways better.

I know alot of people are happy with the kappas, but It's just not my taste.

It's like the more you spend on speakers the brighter they are.

yea i feel the same way you do, your best bet would be installing a sub to take care of your lows

Have you adjusted the X-overs for the components? Also if you don't have any sub it's going to be very imbalanced. Also you may have to adjust the EQ in the radio. I've got an Alpine and I had to turn the upper freqencies. I currently have some Alpine Type R components in the doors that soud great (I did have to reduce the highs again).

My perfects were very bright at first, then I set the tweeters at -3dB on the crossovers and got subs to balance the sound... sounds, well, perfect now.
