Here's a picture of mine. I know others have found solutions as well.

The FM Modulator is hidden under the dash. My antenna is on the inside of the car on the rear strut tower. Here's a picture of it from outside:

I didn't make it. The guys who did my install fabricated it for me. It looks even better in person. Nobody who sees it in person can believe its not stock.
Check out their website, or give them a call. They do great work: www.streeteffectz.com

Do me a favor and mention that Brian with the 350Z refered you to them.

The XM Commander unit cost me about $140. The installation and fabrication of the trim part were another $150. To me, there is no question I got my money's worth.

I can get you some more pics.. possibly tomorrow?

The LCD on the XM Commander lights up white.. looks nice. Up where it is, especially, it doesn't really stand out as having different coloring from the rest of the instruments.

Streeteffectz did some work with the FM modulator to get it sounding better than the average. Not bad SQ at all. We are working on a real aux. input for the 350Z at the moment in an attempt to rid me of the FM modulator, however. That should give me CD quality inputs
