Default what lcd screen do you recommend?

I want the largest lcd i can put in the car and still close the door, or a way to make it look seamless. Also are there any that use s-video or component hookups or composite only?

thanks in advance!!

i got the farenheit 7000-MHR and it fits perfectly...really no modifications needed....and it is $100 less than the 7001-MHR....the only difference is that it only has one video (composite) input....i got mine from discountjungle.com for around 200 shipped.....good luck

Does anyone have any pictures? Can you provide the exact dimensions of the display? How deep is it? That seems too big to fit in the NAV hole. Does your lid flip open or slide inwards? Can you still close it now? How did you mount?

Thanks!

I just finished my install of a LCD screen and DVD player, I used the farenheit 7000-MHR and the BOSS DVD/MP3 player. I have an 04 Z and i got an 03 Nav Compartment from my friend and the screen fits perfect, I mounted the DVD player in the rear passenger side glove box, I also used an FM moduler to run the sound through my stock stereo for now.

Jason my friend at Auto Image here in NJ did the install for 100.00, and the Boss DVD player cost 84.00 on E-bay and the Farenheit LCD I bought from Discountjundle.com for 134.00. The FM mod I got for free from a friend.

WOW you got a super deal~!!

Do you know how much it would cost to do without all the hook-ups?

I was wondering if you had any estimates on about how much the Nav Compartment would be by itself?

If not its cool, i might just give the nissan parts department a call

Let me know when you have time, and i am still looking forward to those pics~!!! thanks again

Do you have to get the 03 nav compartment for this setup to work? I also have an 04, and want an lcd and dvd player which would let me upgrade my system at a later time...

the 03 nav compartment works better because the fareheit 7000 LCd fits perfect in tht compartment, I think courtesy nissan sells the 03 Nav box for around 80.00.

I'm sorry the 03 Nav box can be bought at PerformanceNissan.com for around 74.00.

The 7000 does fit perfectly. Looks like it was made for the car.

I do have one complaint though.....

The viewing angle of the screen is VERY narrow. It may be worth spending more on a different screen if you don't mind doing some heavier modding to the NAV compartment. Find a shop that has a few you can look at.

I also got mine from discountjungle.com, very good service.

For the price and fit Im pretty happy with the Farenheit 7000-MHR

Will the Clarion 7194 fit in the 2003 without any modding? Also how is the picture quality of the 7000/7001 compared to the Clarion?
