Not trying to be mean, but theres many posts out there concerning this.
I would recommend the V-1 but I am biased since I own one.

I've had a V1 for about 6 years now and love it so much that I hardwired it into the Z. How many other manufacturers offer to send the old V1 in for approx. $200 in to the company so that they can send you out a new one with updated sofware and/or hardware.
From what I have heard the Passport 8500 ans X50 are very good also, but I guess it just depends if it is worth it to pay an extra $100 for the arrows.
Either way, you really can't go wrong.

i also have the V1 hardwired into my Z and i cant drive without it. Saved me so many times already. The arrows are worth their weight in gold. I ride with other detectors and i feel lost. I dont know where the cop is, or if i should worry. It just beeps, and theres bars. V1 all the way.
