Question "disk error"

I've got the factory Nav on a 2004 roadster (2000 miles/a few months old). Getting "disk error" on screen. I have removed, cleaned and reinserted DVD but that does not help....any quick ideas? Normally when Nav is engaged you can hear the DVD spinning and it's not...I'm assuming since the DVD comes out of the unit that I have power to it? Thanks....

It sounds like the Nav. player is bad. Take it back to the dealer.

That's what I thought but was hoping it had some re-boot ability that I just didn't know how to do.....
