Swapping Focal for BA and question about Bi-amping front speakers
I've had it with these K2P Focal speakers so I'm replacing my front speakers with Boston Acoustics Z6 speakers and my rears with Boston Pros. Someone had mentioned to me that I might want to try a bi-amped setup for the front speakers (separate amp for the tweeters). Does anyone know exactly what the benefit is of having a bi-amp setup like this?
Thanks,
JasZ

Well I got the Focal K2P to fit in the door ( hard as hell) so I figure I can get the Bostons in there.
I'm just not really happy with the sound from the focals. I had trouble filtering certain higher frequencies from their front mids. I also took apart their tweeters and I wasn't really impressed with the build quality. Leave it to the French.

they have a different sound because their cone is kevlar. paper reproduces the best sound, IMO. i've heard wood is supposed to be really good, JVC just came out with a wooden cone. the z6 need a lot of depth to clear. around 4 - 5 inches if i were to guess.
