Default iPod installed! Stock HU via CD Changer

I successfully installed by iPod via the CD Changer connection on my 2003 Stock Non Bose Stereo Yesterday.

Sounds great, like a CD, but I do have alternator noise to troubleshoot now.

Parts used:
SoundGate ALNS1
http://www.soundgate.com/products/cd...n-infiniti.htm

Denison ICE-Link

350Z ProClip - For mounting

iPod 4Gen 40GB

I will post a pic when I can. The stereo controls to not operate the iPod like it says, but when you hit CD 2X, the HU goes into CD Changer Mode and the iPod powers up. Then you control the iPod with the click wheel and the volume via the stereo. Sounds perfect with the engine off. I need to figure out why all the alternator noise. Any help would be appreciated.

alternator noise 9/10 is caused by a poor ground connection. If any of the items you installed needed a ground wire find a better spot for them, sometimes sanding the spot helps.

I think you are correct about the ground, but neiter device offered a ground cable.

Any ideas on how to add one?

The iceLink had like a DIN connection to the SoundGate. SoundGate support suggested an In-Line Ground, but the only ones I see are for RCA Connections.
