For some strange reason my computer doesnt pull up the ipod holder fabrication. Must be a glitch, because I know trents not being stingy with the pictures.

 

But I am being stingy. The more you ask, the longer it takes.

I'll post his progress pictures today. It will give you an idea of how it was made. As far as how much, I'm not sure, everything was lumped together on my install. Maybe Chad/Encore could answer any questions you might have. He was my "god-like" installer

Hey buzz I am going to get the 10W7 and 500/1 amp as well. I bet it sounds amazing. I read your custom box extends down to the tire well? How does that work? Can I get a pick of it please? Just curious.

 

Would also love a pm concerning the how to on the console and/or price to do it or have it done. thanks!

 

That looks sick and very clean, would it be possible to switch the two and have the radio/display higher up and the ipod below.

Modification of tweeter location

 

It's hard to describe how it sounds. The best word that comes to mind is "Smooth". I mean it pounds, but yet sounds soooooooo SMOOTH!

I'll take a pic of what I can tonight where it extends into the tire well. It may be hard to see. It only takes up part of the tire well. Chad carpeted the rest so that I have some nice storage area.

 

I guess anything is possible. I would think the angle might make it tough to see the screen though.

 

I'm of no use on the "How-To's" of the Ipod install. I've got pics that I'll post that Chad had taken during the process. They should be able to give you some idea. He modified the OEM Nav door.

And price, like I've said before, I have no clue. Everything was lumped together as far as labor.

I think the depth of the headunit in the top spot might cause dificulties, but i suppose it could be possible.

on another note: the new ipod video is awesome. i have one, and i love it. but it wont fit in the custom built ipod holder. it is too wide. it looks like your 2nd generation ipod is pretty snug in there. just trying to save you some money
