The screen in the cubby hole, is it from the factory sat nav? Is it linked to the Z1 for dvd's only or also the navigation?

The cubby hole screen is a PT-700MHR (not factory). It's linked to the Z1's rear video output.

The Z1 allows the rear video to mirror the Z1 screen or show the DVD output or AV Input.

Zip ties, heat shrink, wireloom, and carpet are you friend.. Use them, Remember behind the scene's in wiring is more important than what you can see.
