Ultimate Head
unit..... Eclipse AVN-2454
I got tired of my Pioneer 7500 dvd, so I had it replaced with this double din unit. I think it looks much cleaner and simple than the flip out models. Hope you guys like it.

I ll try to get a close up picture so you can see all the controls and likewise when the screen flips open. There are two slots inside the screen...one for dvd/nav and another one for cd/mp3. The only bummer is that you have to take the nav disc out to watch dvd movies. Oh well.
As far as pricing, the shop that I go to bought back my pioneer head unit and my pioneer navigation. So I only had to pay for install which is 270.00. I know that he sells the eclipse unit though for 2200.00. I am sure it is a lot cheaper on ebay/internet.

Actually the trim plate does not look great. They did fabricate a plastic material and then they insert it behind the center panel. And also they used the factory brackets from the stock radio. I will probably have somebody else fabricate the trim plate with some kind of carbon fiber material or painted.

This unit also comes with NAV right? How's the quality of that? I wonder how many different voice instructions this unit comes with. Does it have a voice instruction that tell you to change freeway or just tell you to keep to the right whenever you need to change to a different freeway?
