Z350Lover,

Congratulations on an awesome car.

Hope that you like yours as much as I like mine (and from the sound of things it sounds as if you do!!!)

Happy motoring and hope to see you cruising around.

I just noticed in your photos somethink you might want the dealer to fix, the tyres have not been fitted correctly the yellow & red dots on the side wall are for correctly aligning the tyres with valve stem, the yellow dot is surpose to line up with the valve stem with the red dot opposite or visa versa not sure which.

Cheers mate!

Mate, to bad they put the steering wheel on the wrong side; I'd take it back to the dealer.

Looks great. Bit of a surprise about the front reflectors.

Also a surprise about the front plate holder. Is that dealer fitted or does it arrive with it? Anyone know for sure?

Yes unfortunately that is fitted by Nissan Australia.

When I got mine it was already fitted as with the other 350's that he had there.

Do you know what stage it's fitted though? ie by the dealer themselves, at the dock or in Japan? I really don't want it and if it's fitted by the dealer then there's a chance yet.

ZZZ-35... yeah... .I noticed that already.... and guess what... nissan didn't fit those wheels in... but Beaurepair Tyre did!!!! the one just located right next to nissan dealer!!! what a crap! I will go in ASAP.... and somehow the driver's door doesn't lock when I press the central locking button!!! But it can be locked manually and can be unlocked through the button... but not locking... when I press the central locking button, it will only lock the passenger side door!!! I think I will go in for that.. or is that the factory feature?

cheers,

richie

The cars come already fitted with the front number plate holder/moulding to the dealers from Nissan. (too late to do anything)

Yes its normal. Pressing the plastic button on the drivers door will only lock the passenger door. I think its a safety feature.
To lock both doors at once you have to press the metal button where the door opens.

Viper Monitor system alarm
Z350Lover,

I read in one of your other threads that you are getting this alarm.

Could you post (or PM) me what you paid for the system and/ or where you got it installed.

Thanks

PLEASE wait for your alarm. If you want it to work with your existing nissan keypad you will have to wait till nissan release the rolling code program for the Z.
In other words if you fit an aftermarket alarm, they CANNOT make it work with your original keypad, so you will be have to carry 2 remotes on your keychain (sucks )
ASK the fitter about this BEFORE he starts the job or you will be very dissapointed.
Your dealer should be able to give you a timeframe......so far mine says about 2 weeks to go.

Slightly confused about this so maybe you can clarify?

1) The Z has a immobilisor and an alarm?
2) The rolling code is in relation to the alarm?
3) Does this mean that I will have to take my Z back to my dealer for him to reprogram it?
4) After reprograming I will be able to fit an aftermarket alarm?
5) Why would you need a second controller? Does this mean that the controller that I currently have will be replaced by the dealer?

Hope someone can help,

Zdster

Answers:
1) Z has immobiliser and factory security features
2) the code/program is in relation to the original keypad, meaning the signal from the keypad cannot be changed to activate any other alarm system yet. It works with the imobiliser as well.
3) if you want to use your original keypad to activate your new alarm you must take it to nissan (who claim it will take a few min)they will change it for you
4) speak to your fitter (prety sure its done after fitting tho)
5)the controller is not replaced, reprogramed

JUst to be 100%..........ask your dealer /fitter before he does anything.

Blue_350_z,

Thanks for taking the time to respond. Who are you using for alarm fitment? I am looking for a viper alarm system or something similar but have not been able to find anyone who stocks them.

Anymore assistance would be great,

Zdster

Actually my dealer is fitting it. I couln't be bothered looking around for a good price on an alarm ,(i know the dealer charges more) and I dont want any test pilots taking my car for laps soon as i leave it with them.
The keypad issue shouldn't be a problem at all if your not picking up the car for a couple of weeks.
