Default Nismo Kits will be available through Nissan Dealers!

Guys.... here is a good news for you if you are interested in Nismo Aero Kits...

I went to Melbourne Auto Show today and saw a silver Nismo 350Z show car over on the rotating stand and asked one of the nissan assistance about all the Nismo kits on that car... This guy told me and also used the microphone to speak out to all the people at nissan stand that all the nismo kits that shown there will be available through all the nissan dealership later on! So don't need to order them in yourself because you can be able to "bargain" with your nissan dealer on all the kits, including Nismo Oil Cooler kit and the Titanium Exhaust system!

Here are a few pics that I took at the auto show on this show car!

enjoy them!

cheers,

richie

That's good news in a way except for the fact they'll almost certainly put a ridiculous price on the parts. Still, I'd like to be proven wrong.

EDIT: BTW I wish Nismo would develop a different rear piece. Those 2 little add ons don't match the rest of the kit IMO

I do agree with you on those 2 little pieces at the back.... well.... they somehow look like the one on Mitsubishi Lancer's factory body kits.... hehehe..... and guess how much is nismo asking for those pieces? around 800 AUSSIE dollars for those 2 pieces... well... the price is ridiculous in my opinion! I really hope that Nissan can be able to give us some surprises on the prices!

No worries on the pictures! Enjoy them boys!

cheers,

BTW should've said nice pics earlier.

Yeah I know about the prices, I'm getting the front bar and side skirts. Undecided about the wing but definitely not those rear pieces.

Saw the Nismo show car yesterday, when to see for my self how the aero kit looked. One word awesome, so glad I went. While there I got speaking to a senior Nissan rep. he was interested in my thoughs on the car and we got speaking about the Nismo stuff he stated the aero kit would sell for around $8500 plus painting & fitting, the titanium exhaust cat back system, $7500 plus fitting, all available at Nissan dealers in the future.

All I can say is I hope he's wrong otherwise importing direct from Japan will be the go.

That's about the price I'd expect from a dealer. A lot of people will still buy from them as they can't be botered doing the work themselves and importing one.

I notice they dont have the front number plate moulding (which I hate with a passion). Can the moulding be removed and the plate mounted directly to the bumper as in the picture? Or does it leave holes?

Just spoke to Daniel at The Spoiler Shop www.spoilershop.citysearch.com.au - they have very similar kits at a much lower price. They suppied & fitted the kit for my Cougar and it was very good quality & price. (And I have no connection to them other than as a happy customer).

The Spoiler Shop is in Perth WA. Tel 08 9317 1988

If you've seen the Series II Mazda MX-5 'vertible (like who hasn't) then you may have noticed that they have a similar rounded bumper style to the Z. I saw one in a garage recently and noticed that they have a small bracket that bolts on to the bumper and the plate is attached to that. Maybe approaching a Mazda dealer about one of those brackets could be the go and see if they can be adapted.

One last thing, I once tried to remove the ugly box from the front bumper of the current Maxima model. Only to find two whopping great bolt holes right in the middle of the bumper. Even if I could have adapted a bracket to hold the plate under the bumper in front of the intake, it would still have been a trip to the body shop to get the holes filled.

$7500 for a cat back system !!!!!!!!!! holy ****, they must have used diamond rivets to hold the titanium together hahaha...

is it just me or does that sounds damn excessive? and im not even gonna mention the $8500 for unpainted bits of fibreglass hehe...

Great work! Good news, sort of.

this is old news murray see the date it was posted

AU$7500 is expensive but those are include the shipping and taxes, but it wouldn't cost that much. I payed mine for about AU$3500 for a Titanium Exhaust from japan including the Y-pipe and shipping and taxes.
So the AU$7500 don't apply anymore. Should at least about AU$4000 or less.

Cheers

LemanZ,

Had the same thought before and bought the VS CF lip... but ending up selling the lip and went for full nismo kits..... but I guess with Roaster, you don't wanna get it over done actually...

cheers,

richie

Default Nismo Aero Kit

I just got the Nismo aero kit (complete), from Hornsby Nissan for $4940. Painting is $100 per piece for platinum (black and white cost more apparently), and 5 hours fitting at $50 per hour. If you want this deal call Con at Hornsby Nissan.

I don't really like the rear quarters either. Might have to find something from another kit.

congrats djclarkson! and welcome to the nismo family!

It seems that they have already dropped the price.... and the painting price is way too cheap IMO! because normally, the full front bumper will cost at least 300 to paint already!

cheers,

richie
