K & N Panel Filter
Just fitted the K&N filter purchase from Autobarn it's the same as fitted to the Skyline GTR, P/N 33-2031-2 price approx $ 125.00, is it worth it ? I've always used them, I think the low down pickup respone is better.
They also have the BMC panel filter also if you prefer.
My 2c worth.

The K&N Filters and BMC are great OEM replacements. I fitted a full BMC Carbon Fibre Dynamic Airbox on my 156 at QSZ and god does it sound good, lovely low end burble.
I personally prefer air intakes to an exhaust system when aiming for more engine volume....the extra noise is there only when u want it (accelerate).
David, does the car sound ne different?? Ive heard some sound clips of the intakes on this forum and they add a more dimensional sound. In fact it was my 21st yesterday and my bro bought me a Polished Injen Intake with the black tubing and a Honda S2000 antenna
BTW, saw ur car tonite parked out front Dolphin. Looking good Dave

I've always used K&N as well. That's not a bad price by the look of it either. Put it this way, it can't really hurt and if properly looked after it'll be the last airfilter you buy for the car.
I believe that the Z has a hot wire air flow meter. These units after time will get contaminated from the oil in the K&N. many wrx owners had this problem.
Use it if you wish. But before taking it into service remove the filter
