Some GTP Z pics from Oran Park
As I don't have any clients work that needs to be completed tonight I thought I'd post some pics instead. This was the first time out with a new camera and I've got a few things to get used to on it. For one the zoom is deceptive, the results are better than they looked at the time. Anyway, with apologies to dialers, on with the show.
I think this was the only pic of the Z from race 1.
Start of race 2, taking the long way around.
This VW was a quick car and a contender for loudest car on the day.
Coming in for the compulsary pitstop.
This isn't a good angle and I didn't realise it at the time but that Oporto logo does look a little like a target. Certainly took a good whack on the day.
It was a typical great day at the races with perfect Sydney weather. I went along with some of the Nissan club members where we had our own private hospitality box above the pits. Everyone enjoyed the spectacle despite the Nissans not prevailing on the day.
If any Sydney siders have been considering joining the club I'd recommend they do. There's going to be a lot more days like the dyno, these race events and drive days etc. All the club members are friendly and a lot of fun. If you want to come along to a few events and see what it's like before joining you're more than welcome to.
