I have e-mailed hiTech and asked them to qualify
their published claim of 20% increase in power and torque.
Interestingly they have never replied.
If someone buys a system based on this claim,
and the result is not achieved, then that purchaser has
a very good cause for complaint and even extending
to re-imbursement.
I have a friend who has one and I think that his comment
was something rather vague about some perceived
improvement in top end.
I would reckon that a true 20% improvement would
be very noticeable - I think he posted a 14 or maybe
17% in what amounts to a rather narrow band.
Are you there AMBER ? (Cryptic)

Rizky, I believe everyone has been posting their results and impressions on the "hi tech group buy" thread. Ive had mine done, I know Zuffy has his and Dixonb has his. Not sure of who else was getting it.
Snowman, I can also recall reading somewhere that the 20% claim on the web site was incorrect and was to be changed.
I would find it hard to believe anyone would truly expect to get that sort of increase with just a cat back?? I for one wasnt expecting that. I was hoping to get some increase and moreover get a decent note that wasnt over bearing or sounding like a straight thru ***** box. I think both of these objectives were acheived.
My dyno was 174.4rwkw. For some reason (safety?) the guy who did the dyno didnt want to do mine in 5th so it was done in 4th and I didnt actually get a base line dyno done. At the end of the day it looks good, sounds great (especially full biscuit) and I know there is an improvement in power.
Snowman, good luck in getting a response via email. I sent them a couple when I first got the Z in June and Im still waiting on an answer. I think (for whatever reason) they concentrate on what they know best and Ill leave it at that!
As always

Guys, there is heaps of info about this product, I did before and after dynos and so did 3 other cars.
We had sound clips etc etc.. i even offered to meet people in Sydney who were interested. Ie i was impressed enough to want other 350z owners to get what i got....! I mean I rarely listen to music anymore. I love to hear my car go through the gears.
Yeh, i know, I'm a nut!

nismor33 had an mp3 of it somewhere.
It's probably easier to PM him or email him via the forum member profile info.
I'll tell you this, it sounds nothing like the mp3 when you hear it live....you just need to hear it for yourself. Ask one of the Melb guys if you can meet for a cupa and hear the car.
I'm sure someone will want to show off the new sound!

Mine should arrive this week - I believe their claims for the following reasons
1. The Aussie regs are way more extreme than the US - so we are a bit choked here.
2. A number of dynos have been posted and all seem to say the same thing.
3. US exhausts achieve less because their originals are better than ours.
Soon see anyway - I will book a dyno before mine is done.

I can't imagine my car without it now!
HP or no HP the car sounds like it means business. The extra 20rwkw is there for the race track and occasional run to the corner shops .

thanks
