I would not mind getting (and trying) 245/45/18" tyres at the front. I don't want to get new tyres to try it out and it'll be a long while before I need to buy new ones so I'd love to get my hands on the OME RE040 if anone wants to sell theirs. I don't want to pay too much (as this might not work) and the tyres do not need to be in great condition. They do need to be legal though.

So, let me know if anyone wants to get rid of their OME 245/45/18 tyres.

Hey didn't Richie (Z350lover) have some tires for sale. I think the person who bought the wheels got the SO2's so he might still have the 040's.

I want the 245/45/18 for the front, and front tyres have nothing to do with the speedo so there will be no change no mater what tyres you put on there. The rear tyres I'm happy to keep OME size for the moment (ie. 245/45/18) so speedo should be as accurate as it can be.

225/40/18? Why 40 profile and the same width? I don't know why you'd want to do that ... 245/40/18 I could understand.

Yeah, I think he sold the lot .... not sure what's happening with the 245/45/18 RE040s now.

 

You are right David I need 225/45/18 for the front.

What I don't understand is, I can't match the stock touring 235/50/17's with 18's.

245/45/18 is still 9.9 mm out
(1.6K @100K per hour)

I am thinking of going with mid range cheapies, ie Falken ST115's
or FK 451, but I dunno the difference yet.

I really want 9" rears but (see other post) cannot find matching tread front and rear, the money is burning a hole in my pocket..they don't want it!
