Default HI-Tech Mufflers Exhaust Kit

Hey just got directed to this section of my350z.com for us in oz. I have been browsing this forum and have noticed that some here have had the Hi-tech muffler cat back exhaust installed and others are planning on having it installed in the near future. I spoke to hi-tech yesterday and they told me that the system will provide a power increase of 18KW at the rear wheels. Just wondering if you guys did actually gain this power increase by installing this system, what it sounds like and whether you guys are generally happy with it. How much did it cost including installation? Have you guys had your car dyno tested with the kit?
Thanks for you help
Matt

Hell Matt,

Welcome to the forum! Many people... well.. most of the z owners here have Hi-Tech exhaust on.... even I used to have hi-tech now but now with Nismo exhaust as it completes the entire package of my ride.

Hi-Tech exhaust does give quite a lot of power and the gain of 15kw to 18rwKW has been seen on several independant dynos by members here!

I can say that it is a good value for your money and it sounds pretty awesome as well! It isn't loud at all when cruising compare to the nismo one, so you should love the setup! I believe the cost of the muffler (cat back) is 1550 + 10% GST + shipping + installation and since you are in sydney, so you will not need to pay another 50 dollars or so for the shipping!

Do a search within the australian forum and you can find some dyno sheets proving the results!

cheers,

richie
