Default Need Help: Rear Diffusers

I ordered a set of rear diffusers (from the Track model) for my Touring, and I'm trying to figure out how they fit them.

I've figured out which piece goes on which side of the car (since they're not the same shape) but most of the bolt-holes don't line up with something to anchor them to.

I've been through the threads here (somewhat, there's a shitload of matches) and it appears as if there's bits of metal bodywork my car doesn't have with the bolt holes.

I'm not sure if this is a non-Track issue, or an Aus-spec issue, but has anyone else fitted the rear diffusers to their Touring model? If so, did you have to get extra stuff?

I'm referring to what ChinaClipper is talking about here:

https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....697#post153804

"Mystery" diffuser

I can basically find the bolt-holes where the diffusers attach to the car in the vertical axis, but if you have a look at where the horizontal mounts are meant to be....I've got nothing but open space.

Otherwise, when we go on our cruise next weekend I'll have to have a look under someone's Track model and find out.

I looked at doing this as well but havnt got to it yet. If the Track model has different mounts which it could very well have what will you do? Find the part and order new ones, get them off a dead Zed, or find a work around?

How much did you pay for the diffusers?

I'm not sure what I'm going to do. I am considering custom making some mounts for it, but then I need to ensure they can handle whatever load airflow puts on them....

I *could* buy the parts from Nissan Aus, but its arguable whether they'll sell them to me. They wouldn't sell me the diffusers in the first place, nor will they sell me the Brembos.

However, I did manage to get a front chin spoiler from them (mind you, it is an option on the Touring) and a front bumper. I got them relatively cheap ($550) since some guy who bought a Track model put on a Nismo bodykit, so they just had it lying around. Maybe they could order the spares for me to mount it.

I was considering buying the Track spoiler as well, to make sure my aerodynamics were the same as the (better) Track model's, but then I realised I still want to get the Nismo rear wing and so it would have been a waste of money.

Anyway, I'll have a look on the cruise at the Track models there to see what I need....

mchapman, I got the diffusers from Performance Nissan Parts for USD $72.
