2k3 350z Performance in BS
Warning: some newb like questions below!!
Now that that is out of the way. Hi! I've ran my 350 in BS for the last season and a half. I am otherwise a newbie to autocross. I've decided this is the season to get off the street tires, and am on the hunt. A few "truths" that I've gleaned from this and other message boards that I kind of would like to confirm:
- Have to run the same size wheels as original equipment on my 350. I think this is 18x8 all around, but have also been told it's 18x8 in front, 18x8.5 in rear, and some other variations. The owners manual says both!! What's the right answer on wheel size allowable in BS on a 2k3 Performance package (VDC, 6spd).
- Sounds like same size (versus larger rears) seem to give people the most stability. Keeping in mind that, while I don't suck, I'm no incredible driver AND this is my first time on r compound... would the board recommend same tire all around?
- Any solid recommendation on size/manufacturer for the above stated wheel sizes?
My 350 is stock other than a K&N filter, and some Goodyear F1GSD3's put on for last season.
Thanks in advance! See you at the track!

'03 Perf model wheels should be 18x8.0 rear and 18x 8.0 or 7.5 front....I don't remember which width the '03 had in front.
The best R tire is the Hoosier 275/35/18 A3S04 all four corners. Kumho does not have their best tire, the 710, available in a 275 size yet.

it is 18x8 all around on the 03 performance. Im not sure how the offsets differ on the performance wheels but my suggestion is get a set of wheels that have the exact same offset. say 30 then make up the difference using a spacer. to make them fit the rules. This way you can swap front to back. That will save you some money. I basically have to unmount and remount my tires 4-6 times to maximize life. Having the same size wheel could cut that number in half.
