A/X: NorthWest Practice
In the Northwest Regional Forum, Drivesolo posted this video from Saturday's A/X practice. He did a great job collecting Z owners together for this event.
The night before, three of us decided to meet up Saturday morning. We met up at two different locations, enroute to the event. None of us had ever met... turns out all three of us have LeMans Sunset Zs. That was kind of cool, buzzing down the interstate, three in a row. And we kept the timing crew on their toes, trying to figure out who was running when.
It was the first time out for the trailer. Getting that rig put together (trailer and hitch), was quite the project, but very worth while. I'm not afraid to pull large pieces of body work off of my Z anymore. I could not have pulled it off without help from Drivesolo & Lateapex. Drivesolo, thanks for the excellent TIG work and many hours of assistance. Lateapex thanks for the design and tips on bumper removal/install... also, the "anti-rattle" bolt and the advice on welding the bumper brackets are spot on. The towing experience in the Z was superior to the tow using my QX4, due to the superior layout of design.
The video is about 3 minutes in length and Drivesolo did a great job on it. Check out the thread in the NW Region Forum as well... Dr Vokl posted some pictures, a couple show all three LS Zs getting tech'd.
