Default Bell M2Pro

Anyone use the Bell M2Pro? I think it is now called the M4. Any suggestions for a track hat?

depends on your budget.

the m2 was pretty good back in the day, then i heard they had to be recalled to due a mfg error. and then they released the m4.

come october, they will release the new Snell SA2005 helmets, all the Snell SA2000 helmets will probably go on sale.. granted the 2000 will last another five years or so. its up to you which one to get.. imho. changing helmets in five years isnt that bad since material advancement will eventually lighten helmets and make them stronger.. and do you really want to use a smelly helmet for 10 years? heh.

i have the Sparco WTT F1... since it was on sale at Sparco Day... and i love it..

if u want a mid-range. take a look at RacerWholesale.com they have some Gforce helmets for decent prices.

if ur a baller and got the $$, Arai are nice but u need a narrow head..

just remember.. its' safety equipment.. always get the best of what you can afford..

I have a Sparco, the cheapest full-face they offer. I think it was $500 on sale. Very light and good ventilation. As Chebosto posted, new regs are coming out soon and the SA2000 helmets will probably be a lot cheaper. I'd recommend a Sparco if the price is right for you. Also, if you can, wear it to your car before you buy. Several helmets did not fit very well in the Z (I'm 6'1")and offered no clearance above the helmet for movement. I am glad I checked before buying, otherwise I'd have to sit like a reclined stick-shaking rice baller at the track with the Bell helmet I almost bought instead.

Well I broke down and bought the Arai GP5K. The helmet is much smaller and feels substantially lighter. But for $250 more it better! I also bought a pretty little Aria helmet bag and the head condom to protect the helmet fabric. LOL! Thanks for the help guys.
