I've got an issue of Circuit Driver... a UK magazine with a complete track test of an early production model (from earlier this year)... I'll try to scan it in....

Now if only we could get a magazine like THIS in the US?!?! uuuughhh!!

Good luck D/Ling that video from the Radical website. I found another link a few weeks back that was more reliable - I'll try to dig it up today for your viewing pleasure.

The Radicals in general are fantastick cars. I've been to a couple of track days where they were running. The only problem with them is the price of entry. I think the 4 cylinder cars run $75k and up and the new V8 is something like $110k. Still, there isn't anything else you can buy for the same money that's faster.

Actually, if you shop around, you can get a Club Sport for under $25K. That's a lot of track car for the Money.

There's no denying their greatness... but there is another thing to consider...

If you're driving on rural tracks... and you go off track in the grass or a sand trap... there's a 50/50 or better chance that you will have to sit there, in your car, for the rest of the session until a tow truck can come pull you out of the rut you've created. The rewards in driving one are probably worth that risk... but something to consider nonetheless.

That and the fact that if the unthinkable happens, there's not too much there to protect you.

Oh I never said I didn't want one LOL ... but after seeing Matt AND that family from South Carolina (whose name escapes me... you know who I'm talking about) lose over half their track time because they got stuck in the sand at Roebling... just made me think twice about those cars and the tracks we run on. And they are too low to run at rockingham.

Do I have to trade the Diasio in already?! That Radical is just too much car for me. I'm not ashamed to say it. Too fast, too furious.

LBOT, I took mine to the dyno this weekend and came up a little shy. 118hp/58tq. Should be in the neighborhood of 130-135/65tq. The tune the guy has on there right now is really bad. Pops furiously up to about 6.5k then runs lean until redline. So I've got some work to do. Its got the power commander though, so I can just download a map and pop it in. I've got a track day on Sunday, and I'll try to post a review next week.
