Radical SR8 - Anyone driven yet?

I've got an issue of Circuit Driver... a UK magazine with a complete track test of an early production model (from earlier this year)... I'll try to scan it in....
Now if only we could get a magazine like THIS in the US?!?! uuuughhh!!

The Radicals in general are fantastick cars. I've been to a couple of track days where they were running. The only problem with them is the price of entry. I think the 4 cylinder cars run $75k and up and the new V8 is something like $110k. Still, there isn't anything else you can buy for the same money that's faster.

If you're driving on rural tracks... and you go off track in the grass or a sand trap... there's a 50/50 or better chance that you will have to sit there, in your car, for the rest of the session until a tow truck can come pull you out of the rut you've created. The rewards in driving one are probably worth that risk... but something to consider nonetheless.
That and the fact that if the unthinkable happens, there's not too much there to protect you.

Do I have to trade the Diasio in already?! That Radical is just too much car for me. I'm not ashamed to say it. Too fast, too furious.
LBOT, I took mine to the dyno this weekend and came up a little shy. 118hp/58tq. Should be in the neighborhood of 130-135/65tq. The tune the guy has on there right now is really bad. Pops furiously up to about 6.5k then runs lean until redline. So I've got some work to do. Its got the power commander though, so I can just download a map and pop it in. I've got a track day on Sunday, and I'll try to post a review next week.
