Default Trailer wiring problems

I had a converter installed on my sedan to tow a small track trailer. The problem is related to the turn signals. When I use the right one the fuel is cut and the brake lights are dimly lit. The shop is very reputable and can not figure this out. I had them cut the feeders for the blinkers into the box and everything works fine on the car (prior to this the box was swapped). The trailer is only missing the blinkers. Suggestions.

Default I have a trailer

I had a "modulair" installed. It isolates the output from the car from the trailer so any load is taken by this modual. I had this done by a trailer hitch installer locally but it should be available nation wide. I tow a trailer to all my track days with my Z.

My problem is that the marker lights are now always on - somehow the trigger for the marker lights is "stuck."

I installed mine myself, worked great

I purchased a kit from a Uhaul store, and wired it up following the Nissan TSB for trailer wiring.

There's one out there somewhere, google it and you may find it.

It talks about wiring most nissan cars, it's not 350z specific.

I just tapped into the tail lights. Everything works fine for me.

That is interesting. Nissan states that the system cannot handle the load of more lights (ie trailer).

We found the problem with my converter. My installer beleives the issue comes from having LED lights and the current converter. The converter is used for larger input voltage or something like that. Either way, I will know this weekend.
