Just wondering if anyone has seen any '05's at HPDE or TT events, and how they do. Specs indicate similar performance to the Z/G (despite the log axle) but I have yet to see one on the track.

 

I've seen two of them at Thunderhill. One of them has an exhaust, and it sounds downright awesome. Aside from that, they both looked stock (street tires, calipers/rotors, motor). At the time, I was using my stock brakes (pads too) and tires, and ran similar times.

I know this information isn't that useful, but they are out there, and I haven't seen any of them blow up into a ball of fire. Good looking cars though, and it's hard to beat the sound of one of those.

 

That's good to hear! Seeing the Grand Am Mustangs on the tube and none on the track got me wondering how they hold up in the real world. I'd love to chase one around for a few laps and see what it can do. Maybe next year...
