New Road Course in NJ greenlighted!
Looks like you Eastcoasters are going to get another premier track. Damn you! Thunderbolt Raceway has been give the ok from state officials to begin groundbreaking in Spring. It supposed to be a bit like VIR in the club aspect, but it sounds like they are expanding on the idea with trackside villas!!!, hotels, conference centers, driving schools, atv tracks etc. Of course its going to have an airstrip for the high rollers to arrive and drive! Golf cart access to and from the airfield!! Its going to be 3.98 mile course with like 18 different combinations. Out of the 11 main tracks, I can't wait to drive "The Lightning".
Its really encouraging to see the revival of road racing in this country. I hope the trend continues.

Yeah... thats what they said about High-Rock International here in NC too... as usual, I'll beleive it when I see the course onthe ground... but until then, even with state approval, its all about the fundage
Good luck!

Since im in eastern PA, ill be able to cruise over there in my G and rip it up!!! If its a country club atmosphere like they say, then shiit, im joining for sure!!!

Or Englishtown, 90 miles to the north. It's been almost here for years.
But NJMP looks a lot more real. $100 million project. Wow! I'm ready to run there. See you in the spring of 2007.

The owner of VIR and another big shot is developing the property and they are marketing it to NJ as a way to create jobs. I would be surprised if this doesn't pan out.
