RA1's vs RT615
As far as tire life how long do you want your tire to last? The faster a tire is the quicker it will wear out, that is true. I don't want a tire that last two years it will be hard as a rock. My last set of V710s I gave away after they had just over 100 autox runs and about 1200 freeway miles, I driver round trip about 110 miles per event on my V710s, they last longer than I need them to. The guy I gave them to did a practice day on them before they died.
Back in the day of the Yokohama A008RSII you could run all year with autox and a few track days on one set. The bad part is they are slower than the high end street tires we have now days. Speed cost, how fast do you want to go??? The number one mod you can make to give you better lap times in autox and road course is tires. A supercharger will give you more hp but it wont help you stop or corner better, tires help everything. If you are cheap on your tires you will hurt every part of your lap time.

Drivers that dont over drive the tires wll have no problem with the V710 on the track.
The Toyo is a joke not even in the same class as the V710.

But, I may just put a set of V710's on my old stock wheels, and when I get my track wheels put a set of Toyo's on them.

Just joking, I almost bought a RX8. Yet, the Nissan dealer let me take a much better test drive than the Mazada deal and that sealed the deal.

Yea, Tq is nice and I have a lot, 390 ft-lbs to be exact.
So is someone coming out with a FI for the RX8?

There are several options out there. One of the forum guys has 310 RWHP with the Interceptor X + Greddy Turbo. The Interceptor is well tuned though. I'm sure it cost him dearly.

Good thing unlike Nissan that Mazda gave us a good LSD and some front camber adjustment.
As good as an autox car the RX8 is I expect that when the 350Z geats an equal tire to run on they will be at the top.

I'm glad you say this. Coming from last years champion it actually puts merit to our strife.
