Default Hoosier A6?

Saw an add in the new GRM on these. Anybody hear anything. Hoosier may jump on our sizing faster than Kuhmo has. Lord knows the 245's just aren't cutting it.

Yeah, they're availalbe in most sizes. I'm running a 245/40 front and 275/35 rear. First race on that setup was going to be this past weekend, but couldn't go for family reasons. MidOhio, June 2, will be the first chance I'll have to run the new A6 on the track. I also have the R6 to test as well. Will keep ya posted.

Cheers,
J

As I am not doing any national events this year I could not pass up their sale on the S05s 275/35/18s at 187.60 a tire it sure beats 260 a tire. Oh and free shipping...

that being said I can't wait to hear how they do...

All I know is after the last performance by Tom Deady at our local event, I can count atleast 4 people that are running out and ordering them. They are fast, fast, fast. He also remarked seeing pretty good wear, having run three events on them with minimal run down of the tire.

The 275/18 is on backorder I believe. Hippie has placed an order in for them but apparently they won't be back in production until later this month.

There is a pretty long thread over at sccaforums if anybody wants to give it a look. I'm still undecided.. can't really beat the price of a Kuhmo. But I'm still weary if the A6 is going to last as long as most think it will.

I've heard from a few sources that a certain Nationals Championship ESP camaro on A6s was slower than on 710s by well over a second....

I'll be sticking with 710s for autocross, though, I also don't have the sizing issues you guys with 18s do.

Hey Chris - tell that certain "National Championship ESP Camaro" driver that he must not be trying very hard when running those A6s and tell him I say, "Hello"

I hear they are having problems with tread seperation on heavy high power cars.... Funny thing is as of yesterday the A6 is not on the TireRack website.

May have been a website issue... They are back today but not all the sizes are listed.
