I went to my first autocross today. Overall I’m pleased with the car and tires: no surprises. My first run I was off course (twice I think). Runs #2, #3 and #4 were much better. I have taken HPDE before, and this is as exhilarating but different of course. In HPDE the road is the course, and its more easy to judge the braking and turn-in point.
Autocross is a whole new world for keyriste sakes! Cones everywhere! I imagine that there are standards for course set-ups. And it will be more easy for me to recognize a slalom from a switch back the next time out.
Glad you had a good time. We will be having an AutoX at ripken on the 17th of June.
Heh. Yea, it is tough to stay on course every run those first few times. Yes there are standards for course design so the more you run the easier it will be to stay on course. Most of our courses are designed by Lee, he tries to incorporate more elements that you see at the ProSolo events so the course may look a bit different.
Nice getto number tape job. Looks like mine from last event.
