Default Won Dunlop tires of my choice-help me choose!

I won a certificate for 4 new Dunlop tires at a PCA DE event this past weekend. The restrictions is that they must be consumer tires not racing tires.

I have a set of OE 17in wheels and a set of OE 18in track wheels.
I'm thinking of either ordering the SP Sport Maxx or the SP Sport 9000 for my track wheels. I would get the 235/40R18 and 255/40R18.

Anyone familiar with either one of these?

The ratings on Tirerack.com are usually pretty reliable. You might do some reading from reviewers there on your choices and use that along with their rating system to help you pick.

Thanks, I have checked Tirerack already and the Car and Driver Dec 05 issue. Was looking for more info...

I had a set of SP Sport 9000s on NISMO rims. I really liked their grip but they lasted only 14K miles (your mileage may vary.)

You might want to just get the most expensive tire they have, sell the set on eBay and buy whatever you want.

I'm a Dunlop Guy, since 1992. Putting Sport Max on next month. Have SP9000s now, very pleased with performance. Get the Sport Max, you'll luv 'em.
