I just purchased a set of these shocks for the rear. There are two adjustment *****, one on the lower body and one at the top. Which is for compression and which is for rebound?

I am guessing top is compression and bottom is rebound.

Other way around. Slot on the top of the shock is for rebound; dial on the body of the shock is for compression.

No one can really tell you specifically what shock settings to run, its really best to play with it yourself and see what works for you.

A general rule of thumb ala carol smith is:

A) set shocks to full soft both rebound and bound

B) add 3 clicks of bump and go out for a few laps, repeat until the car starts to skitter or lose grip over bumps - back off 1-2 clicks

C) add 3 clicks of rebound and go out for a few laps, repeat until the car feels darty and/or starts to jack down over bumps. back off 1-2 clicks

for balance tuning (i'm sure you already know this but its a good refresher)

bump - stiffer in the rear will result in more oversteer into and out of corners, softer will allow more throttle application and generally settle down entry if loose

stiffer in the front will cause a bit of a push, and can help deal with oversteer. softer causes the car to oversteer.

rebound - stiffer anywhere will prevent the suspension from de-compressing, so too much rebound can cause the car to jack down over bumps. In other words the car hits a bump and the suspension compresses, but does not extend enough before hitting the subsequent bump and continues to lower down onto the bump stops.

Rebound also needs to be raised whenever raising spring rates.

Stiffer front rebound will result in understeer, stiffer rear rebound will result in oversteer
