There were 3 Playboy cars at the track that day. Only two ran. I'll see if Juno will post up her pics. She took a lot more.

 

Here are the 350z specs for running in the GT class:

Nissan 350 Z (Prep 1 and 2)
3.5 Liter VQ35DE ,13:1 compression,RRZ31-Spec 2 heads, 515/264 In,485/250 Ex. Camshaft ,38 lb crank piton /rod 902 gms.
Tire sizes are 280/640R18 front and 295/660R18 rear
Minimum weight prep 1: 2,600

 

Conflicting weight guidelines there - Chris Lock said it was 2900 with driver in the other active thread on topic...

 

Koni Challenge is 2900 pounds WITHOUT driver. Rolex GT is 2600 pounds WITHOUT driver.

 

GT and GS, not the same class. The weights are different, as pointed out.

 

As Chris says 2 different races. GS=Koni Challenge GT=24 Hours of Daytona etc..

 

Grand-Am has two series; Koni Challenge and Rolex Series

Rolex Series has two classes:
Daytona Prototype and GT

Koni Challenge has two classes:
GS (Grand Sport) and ST (Sports Touring or Street Tuner)

The 350z is campaigned in the GS class, but thankfully, Playboy will campaign it, for the first time, in the GT class of the Rolex Series; up against Pontiac GXP-R and GTO, GT3 Cups, C6 Corvettes, E46 M3, Mustang GT, and surprisingly, the RX8. The RX8's are really competitive.

 

The RX8 is competitive because it uses a 3 rotor motor.
