Stock calipers + rotors Vs. Track

I had success with Hawk blue in the rear but the only reason why I have not purchased them again is because the brake dust is very corrosive in the rain. Hawk blue in the front was a nightmare.
Since you have an 06 G, there might be different selection of pads as I believe those are slightly larger rotors/calipers.

thanks mberthia ... i will look into more track pad options

I would keep going with what you have - the new stock brakes you just purchased - and give it another try with better pads and by cutting the dust shields. Ducting is not an easy thing to do, you may want to try, there are a few threads on this board with guys who have done it.
One option is to get the Stillen front bumper with their duct kit but it's not cheap. Another one is to make it yourself but you have to fabricate something to direct the hose to the rotor and route the hose to the front where it can pick up air.
In the long run, if you really get into it, you will probably get a BBK as you are going to go through a lot of sets of pads...

I already did some research on ducting, and I will do it. The dust shields are gone.
Yes, I used non Brembos for those 15 track days. I show Front Brembos in my sig but they are still in a box in the basement. I got them last fall. The car came out of storage last week and I will be putting them on within the next month or so. My first track day this year will be at the end of April.

I wish people/vendor would stop thinking the Hawk HP+ and HPS are track pads...
The Hawk DTC-070 and DTC-060 compound seem promissing though. From their web site, they don't have a 350Z application yet, but that should come eventually.

They key is to use a pads appropriate for the application.
Race pads for the track.
Street pads for the street.
Use one or the other for the wrong application and you get all sorts of nasty things happenning.
I do between 6-10 track days a year with one set of rotor and pads...
I'm at 37,000 miles and still use the original pads on the street...
That's too much work for me. I'll change wheels/tires and pads for track days but I can't see myself also removing the calipers to swap the rotors every time. I do bleed the brakes after a few days but not for every track day.
On a side note, anyone know how long I can keep an unopened bottle of ATE blue. I have one that may be 2 years old. I'm not sure if I should use it.

That takes ~5 minutes more per wheels on a Brembo equiped Z.
You might try to contact ATE and ask what is the shelf life of their fluid?
