Default Super Taikyu? Anyone know about this?

I've seen it mentioned before, but I haven't heard any real talk about it. I found the Super Taikyu main website, but it's all in Japanese so I can't make out many details. It seems to be an endurance racing series, as best as I can tell. Does anyone know what kind of regulations there are in this series? Has the Z, which seems to be a contender in the series, ever won the championship in this racing venue? Any one have links to an english website? I'm just curious and there seems to be nothing known about it in the States.

Nope all JDM right there.

from what i have heard, the cars are pretty simple. Race prepped on stock configured engines ( only intake /exhaust/ and head work + tuning)

I would figure that it might be comparable to the US Grand AM racing.

Yeah, it seems hard to find any concrete rules or regulations. It seems interesting enough, but there is no info about the series. Unless you can read Japanese characters.

Thanks for the pics. The series looks like "Super GT lite", but I still can't find any rules or specs on the series. Much less any records on cars involved and winners from previous years. It look slike the Z is pretty popular in the series.

"The Super Taikyu (commonly referred to as "S-Tai") is a Japanese endurance race series with rules based on FIA group N regulations."

Hope that leads to something, here's a wiki on the n series here.

And a pdf of group n regulations from the FIA website it said rally off-road so i'm not sure if but it's N series rules. PDF

The Super Taikyu is an endurance race like "advent Z" said..A lot of Z's and other cars like hondas, mazdas, etc. use C-West bumpers because the C-West bumpers are the most funtional kits. The long nose kit was developed from this series.

Thanks for all the links, guys. I had seen most of them before, but was looking for specifics on how the Z stacked up in competition and race results from prior years.

Nice find, thanks. That's the best site I've found by far with real information specifically devoted to race standings and events. Igor, iirc, also drove the Automotive Forums R34 in the Speed World Challenge series.

It's a shame there is no coverage in the US on other racing series like this. I would love to be able to watch this and FIA GT racing in Europe, since they're both based on production car chassis. GA and the Speed world challenge are the closest we have here, and ALMS, but the Z is only in GA. Too bad we can't watch it race in these other series.
