Not too sure what that means, but thank you.
We call the race team Double Down Motorsports, and the Shop is called Relentless Autosports, if that helps clear something up for you.

Yeah the car's setup was less than optimum. We just got the engine in the car the day before leaving for the event and Jim Wolf had about an hour with it on the dyno which was only enough time for him to make it safe on low boost levels. The car would barely idle and the rev limiter was still set at 7100 rpm. The suspension setup was not ideal either. We swapped to a different valved and stiffer sprung Stance coilover setup at the track while the first morning practice sessions were going on Saturday. We didn't realize until we were near done that the stiffer rear springs were not in the box. So we went up 2k on the front springs and kept the same rear which resulted in a bad understeer problem.
Then we had a wheel problem. We mounted our Toyo R888 tires onto a brand new set of Axis Reverb wheels. Scott went out for about two laps and came in complaining of rear end issues. Turns out one of the Reverbs was a different offset than the others and that rear tire was rubbing badly on the rear coilover cutting it almost to the cords. Luckily we had a spare Reverb wheel in the correct offset with us and had the tire re-mounted on the correct wheel.
Believe me, there were a ton more little things and we made changes and adjustments after every single time the car took a lap on the track and it still wasn't up to what we were happy with.

Man what a great time we had despite all the sound level issues. I have some insane audio clips that i took of the Z shooting down the final straight before the hard left turn. I'll try to post it when i get a chance.
Very tough competition out there.

Congrats to both of you, and great driving. We were there cheering and supporting (parked in the paddock, and were the only two Z32 TTs as well as a Z33ZR). We'll try to fill in for you in the street class next year, as I didn't have the ***** to drive my Z32 this time around. I saw both of you a few times, but you were busy with the car each time.
How would you compare the RE050As to the RT615s for the street class?

Thanks again everybody!
scotts300 - Yeah we are usually pretty busy unfortunately, but we are always willing to meet people from the boards so next time come say hello anyways! Unfortunately we don't have the luxury of bringing a large crew with us to these events like all of the bigger teams do, so us drivers have to pull double duty as crew chiefs, mechanics, and all kinds of other odd jobs. Running 3 classes in the Z, and this time one in the Evo as well, keeps us very very busy. Luckily we usually have one or two people who volunteer to come help us out, but its usually never enough.
The RE050As are great street tires, they really are. I have been very impressed with them all year. I have not tried the RT615s so I can't comment much on those, but from what I hear they tend to overheat a little faster than the other street tires. I will tell you though that I ran the new Toyo R1R 140 treadwear street tire on the Evo and those show great potential in beating everybody else out of the street class tire game so keep an eye out for those. I was very impressed with those compared to the RE01R street tires I used on the Evo before.

The alignment settings, who knows what they really are. Like I said before, we don't have the luxury of bringing mechanics and techs to the track with us. Quite honestly we were changing alignment based off of driving impressions. No alignment tools, just kinda going off of feel. Now that we are back though, we are going to see where we ended up and make some final adjustments to bring everything back to perfect. Hopefully next year we will be in a position where we can our mechanic to come out there with us.

1.5* camber, 10.5-11* caster, 1/16 total toe in for high-speed stability. This relatively small amount of camber allows a wider contact patch to (try) and keep the power down...
