We have an event put on by the Alabama SCCA each year called the Speedsouth Super Solo Shootout. This year 5 of us laid out a course over a mile long at the Birmingham Race Course. Times were mostly over 100 seconds. Here is a look.
Video of my last run
By the time I got to the back of the course on the first run I felt like I had jogged it and was real glad I quit smoking last year. I couldn't tell if my problem was oxygen deprivation or adrenaline overdose. What a hoot!

Well, how timely this thread is. It just so happens our local club has scheduled an autocross event on Sunday at a new road course -- 1.8 miles long. Mmmm, that should be good candidate for this thread. It's about 1:45 minutes without cones, so it'll easily be close to 120 minutes or more with cones (depends on how they layout the course).

In the WWSCC in the Pac NW we use to run Enduro format. We had an autoX course that would double back onto itself making a small road course. A car would get 1 warmup lap and then 3 hot laps to try and post the best time; 4 laps in total. At ~40 seconds a lap it made for well over 2 straight minutes of autoX, depending on the couse or car I could be over 3 minutes. Since the setup allowed very little overlap it was a little tedious of a day but a great opportunity to drive.

SCCA @ Devens is consistently at the 1 mile mark (And if those good ol' boys in their Mustangs come out to Devens for some fun they set up a 1.5 mile track). It's typically set up for high speeds though, +90 second runs are only for novices and carts.

Wow thats a long run... we are luckly to get ones that last 50 seconds here... I wish we could have runs that lasted a couple minutes.
That's pretty cool but you should just get a in-car mount for your camera, the head movement is rather, disortienting...
