If you get a chance, try to take that bar out of the door. It weighs a TON! you'll be amazed when you have it out. drill out the spot welds and it comes right out.

The car looks good. Now you'll need to call Paul at Nissan Motorsports and order the Carbaon/Kevlar NISMO body kit for it!

Seruously though, top shelf all the way. I'll be finishing my weight reduction here very soon (at least the cheap part).

It seems that the positioning of the fire suppression lever could be conducive to accidental activation in heated driving/shifting situations. Or is it more recessed than it looks?

I have a ? for the OP, what is your target weight? I'm looking for 2600# wet, realistically I'll settle for 2800# but my target is to slay Z06s. I so do not fit into any other class than SM2, which will kill me to be competitive in, but I don't really care for too many rules and certainly don't like someone telling me I can or cannot do this to my car.

If you haven't read I'm starting a HR motor swap this winter (should take delivery of HR longblock labor day weekend) and plan on some minor upgrades to try 350WHP with a gutted car. I have no realistic dreams of competing, I'm happy just going fast and having fun doing it.

Yeah, just used some wet/dry vac hose from lowes or home depot. I'll have to find some better pics of how it's routed.

Looks great, any plans for more aero mods? A simple front lip wouldn't hurt.

Eventually I hope to get a front splitter, full undertray and rear diffuser. Bank account needs a little recovery time right now though.

I'd like to know too. Getting the car down to even 2800 lbs wet, is impossible to do (I think) without going to lexan, and swapping out as many body panels as possible with carbon. We stripped a car down to 2800lbs, but without the cage, seats, or safety equipment. The cage adds about 120lbs. and the seats and hardware about 60lbs.

In the rear world, without resorting to massive body modifications, I think a target weight of about 2900-3000lbs is about as light as you can possible go. Once the big stuff comes out of the car, it's so freaken hard to pull that last 50lbs of so out....just go on a diet!!

I'll have it on the scales at Roebling this coming weekend.

It has actually inspired me to go on a long needed diet. I've lost ~20lbs and I have another 15 to go.

I am long overdue with a writeup on my last track event when I tested it out at TWS a few months ago. I was very pleased with the new found traction and the ability to get into corners much faster and get on the throttle earlier with the confidence the rear end will stick. I was able break into the 1:56's with this diff installed vs my previous best lap in the 1:58's.
where can i buy this? i looked on website but couldn't find anything about buying it, just info on it

I have looked at the cool suits. A few friends of mine use them and they highly recommend them. Just a matter of money and the additional weight. The next few events shouldn't be as bad but I might try to get this setup for next summer

Regarding the Torvec LSD, they are working on getting them into production and estimate it will be at least 6-8 months before the first diffs are ready to go on sale to the public. Keep checking their website for updates and I will let everyone know if I hear of any news.
