+1 on the adidas wrestling shoes & adidas Goodyear racing shoes. And these shoes are inexpensive. I have one pair of the wrestling shoes & two pairs of the Goodyears. The wrestling shoes are super light & very comfortable. I got a pair for $20 on closeout.

Correction: My other pair is the Adidas Tuscany (not Adiracer). Pretty much the same thing, with the same shape, narrow fit, and tread pattern. Just no CF accents and different stitching and sidewalls on the soles.
They look exactly like this.

But if you are serious about getting true driving shoes, then look at some FIA certified ones because they have fire protection and will be allowed at all venues (compitition wise).

Just keep in mind that wrestling shoes and others that aren't made for motorsports aren't fire resistant. Yes, chances are good that you'll never need a fire resistant boot, but it's kind of like buying a cheap helmet. If you ever do need it, you'll really wish you hadn't skimped.
I use a high-top Simpson boot with velcro closures that's easy to get in and out of. And as soon as I get off the track I change into a pair of cheap loafers for walking around the paddock so I don't wear out the driving shoes or get oil, water, or other crap on the soles.
